The basic infantry of the ARM, K-bots come in many shapes, sizes, and functions. Many are purely combat units, but some are construction, radar jamming, or radar generating. The primary combat arm of the Republic, they are the most commonly encountered fighters in almost every case.
Peewee:
The lightest K-bot manufactured, its twin Energy Machine Guns excel at all roles, but its light armor, and minimal damage per shot make this a mass infantry unit, and not a stand alone slugger.
Rocko:
Armed with anti-tank rockets, their light warheads often require massed fire to defeat enemy armor formations. More heavily armored than Peewees, they are still fairly fragile, and should be supported by other units in a combined arms force.
Hammer:
A light mobile artillery Kbot, it serves the purpose of a mortar team in most other nations militaries, engaging enemy targets with powerful indirect, or occasionally direct fire explosive rounds. Its armor is also fairly light, as it is rarely expected to see the enemy that it is engaging, relying instead upon sophisticated targeting computers and spotters to bring the rain down on enemy heads.
Jethro:
Rocko's cousin, Jethro's are armed with twin anti-air missile batteries, slightly more heavily armored than other units, they are expected to take the early brunt of combat with enemy air units, and are designed to survive and engage accordingly.
Zipper:
A medium combatant, its light laser gun makes it an effective raider, as does its good speed, its armor is also better than that of any of the basic K-bots, though it still leaves smething to be desired when engaging heavier opponents.
Zues:
Another medium combatant, this K-bot s slower and more heavily armored than the Zipper, though still comparatively fast, its powerful lightning gun is deadly against infantry and armor both, where its electrical discharge can cause catashtrophic magazine explosions in tanks, and simply fry most unarmored targets in short order.
Fido:
A quadrapedal K-bot, this caniform machine sports a sinle large artillery coilgun, with better range and damage than the lighter Hammer, it is also less maneuverable and slower, making it easier to destroy, despite its better armor. Several other designs are being considered based on the same platform, but none have yet been put into service.
Invader:
Not technically a K-bot, this s in fact a walking bomb. Its massive blast radius makes it incredibly dangerous against infantry and tanks alike, though it must almost alwas be used in ambush, as its snail like pace makes it an easy target for destruction before it enters attack range. It most often gets employed as a sort of self emplacing anti-tank mine.
Eraser:
Radar jamming K-bot, it actually causes many forms of sensors to fail when entering its area, not only radar based detection systems. It effectively renders all structures, units, and whathave ye within its area invisible to all but the most primitive of sensors, the Eyeball, Mk 2.
Maverick:
The heaviest K-bot employed by regular ARM Commanders, its powerful twin cannon make it a threat to almost every unit it encounters, while its heavy armor and decent speed make it an all around effective combatant.
Warrior:
Employing three weapons systems, this K-bot serves as a placeholder for more specialized units in their absence. Used en masse, Warriors employ a single EMG, a single Artillery cannon, and a single light laser, allowing them to replace Peewees or Hammers in a pinch, or support same as needed.
Construction K-bot:
The basic engineer of the infantry, it is capable of constructing the majority of ARM buildings, including all Tier one and Tier two defensive structures, all tier one barracks, and the Advanced K-Bot Lab. Its nanolathe is also capable of reclaiming the material of enemy wreckage for resources to be used in the ARM warmachine.
ADV. Construction K-bot:
The Tier two engineer of the infantry, its more efficient nanolathes allow it to build much more rapidly, it also has access to all upper tier buildings, barring the advanced barracks for the other branches. As with all engineers, it is able to reclaim wreckage for resources.
FARK:
The Fast Assistance Repair K-bot fills the role of medic, circulating among the survivors of every battle and skirmish, repairing their systems to full capacity in a very short amount of time. It light armor means t rarely repairs frontline units during combat, though units will occasionally rotate back if repairs are needed badly enough.
