Shipyard:
The basic shipbuilding plant of the Republic, it builds the escorts and support units of the navy. These shipyards can be found in orbit, or on the seas of occupied planets, and can be very difficult to destroy.
Advanced Shipyard:
The heavy battleships, cruisers, and other advanced warships of the navy are built here, either in space, or planet side in the seas. The multiple locations for these shipyards are a defensive measure, allowing them to remain hidden from casual observers.
Turrets:
All groundbased turrets have at least one equal in space, although teir spaceborne variants are in all ways larger and more heavily defended, barring the artillery weapons Bertha and Vulcan.
Energy Generation:
Solar and Fusion plants are the only energy generators that are emplaced in space. Fusion plants are often kept away from occupied worlds, so that at least some energy generation can be ensured if a planet is interdicted.
Metal Miners:
Deposited on asteroids and moons, these devices are the most sure source of metal for the republic, supplying them with the immense amounts of material needed to continuously produce their expendable tanks and infantry.
