Yet ANOTHER Tadanobu General Services Corporation item, made at their Greenham Common Complex. This series of watches was developed by a man who watched Goldeneye twenty-seven times and played the N64 version endlessly as a kid, and decided he needed some of that hotness. After a brief chat with Terry Tadanobu, two versions of the "spy watch" were fashioned for use by consumers. The more expensive Blingmaster, which ERIS has opted to buy for some of its staff, as well as various detective agencies and wealthy private consumers, and the more reasonably priced Adventurer series is targeted to outdoorsy types and people such as special operations staff.
The Blingmaster Defensive Watch in appearance resembles one of those smartphone-based watches. In particular, TGSC works with watchmakers such as Omega and Seiko to craft fine luxury watches that, in all respects, keep time with a sense of style. The Adventurer, meanwhile, is made by other companies with expertise in rugged timekeeping, such as Casio.
However, the appearances are, as usual, skin deep.
--The Blingmaster is the most fully featured of the two models. It sports an internal teleport homer device, which enables more efficient pickup by teleporters, as well as a communications beacon which can be activated to facilitate search and rescue by more conventional means, such as aircraft and waterborne vessels. Further, it has lovely features such as onboard navigation and a phone, and even a camera.
Additionally, it contains a small energy projection mechanism powered by a synthetic lightsaber crystal and a specially designed microfusion watch battery. When either activated by psychic thought or by manipulating a special switch, the mechanism, depending on if the switch is pushed up or down, can either project a small five-inch lightsaber blade (with a small energy shield on the bottom of it to protect the user's hand), a semiautomatic blaster bolt that has a 10m maximum range, or a cutting laser that has 5m maximum range, all with adjustable power settings.
--The Adventurer model, meanwhile, is a bit simpler. It doesn't have a phone or camera, and it also lacks some of the more exotic defensive options. However, it does possess a fully functional teleport homing device, SAR beacon, onboard navigation, and the 5m cutting laser with adjustable power settings. It also boasts a plainer, more "overbuilt" appearance.
