The most orthodox of the Schools. Headed by Sensei Junko Tadanobu. To be continued.
Name of School: People's Acolytes National School
Other names: California School (most common name), Tadanobu School, the Old Way(Shinmei nickname).
Leader of School: Sensei Tereza Junko Tadanobu, Sensei of the People's Acolytes Grand Temple on Mars, SSR.
Influence: THE People's Acolyte School, branches of it can be found all over the Workers State. Every territory has at least one major Temple, and several subtemples dedicated to teaching this art.
Techniques/Basics:
The most orthodox of the People's Acolytes schools, the first formal training program for this School was developed by Junko Tadanobu, having taken some kickboxing classes as youth. Seeking to develop a style of combat that both reflected the Star Wars series she loved as a child and would be distinctly Dornalian, she formulated a combat system via her own experiences and study of combat systems from all over the known world to formulate the best style. After a series of rigorous tests by her students, the system was further refined by a combination of her own work and later revisions by the Council of the Senseis, which then controlled the only School.
The resulting system is a very combat-oriented Mixed Martial Arts style generally emphasizing strikes and throws whose blows are amplified using Force attacks. Owing to the relatively free nature of the organization, practicioners of various martial arts are free to practice their own arts as part of the California/National School--so they add an element of surprise to each bout. However, the most common forms are Shaolin Kung Fu, boxing, capoeira, judo, which are often combined into the MMA style frequently taught to Acolytes.
The Acolytes also utilize a variety of lightsaber based weapons, with their own techniques to them (for example, the Shaolin Spade uses polearm fighting moves different from a lightsaber). However, there are more generalized patterns to the weapons combat. An example is the lightsaber combat, which draws upon European fencing, iaido, kendo, and sport chanbara to form the National Style.
Force powers are equally eclectic, no one style being favored but all generally used in a combat stance. Powers from both sides of the Force are used, though higher level Dark and Light (especially Dark) powers are reserved for higher level masters who are mature enough to understand what they deal with. Acolytes, however, have a variety of powers at their command, including thermokinesis and teleporation.
