Name of School: People's Acolytes Qiangquan School
Other names: Janman Seontou Coeng Kyun (Lit. from Cantonese Chinese: People's Believers Gun Fist), Gun Fu, Way of the Gun
Leader of School: Sensei Jeffrey Chin Tai-Wong, Sensei/Master of the People's Acolytes Temple of Lantau Island, Hong Kong.
Influence: A relatively new school, its base right now is currently in Hong Kong at the Temple of Lantau Island, and its influence is mostly found around Earth SSR, some of the Core Colonies and the New Territories. It has established thriving branches in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Tokyo, Earth SSR; Hammer and Tongs, Luxembourgia SSR; Newport City, New Leningrad SSR, and Ft. Casimir Pulaski, New Territories SAR.
Techniques/Basics:
The Qiangquan School is predominately a weapons-based school, requiring its personnel to train in the use of pistols and all major types of firearms. This has led Qiangquan Temples to have some brief run ins with the law, as they often have amassed large amounts of weaponry collected by their practitioners.
However, it goes merely beyond shooting with a gun. Practitioners of the art are known for wielding dual pistols, performing tricks with the Force and and making fast moves and death defying leaps that would make Chow Yun Fat blush. Such skills are derived from the Five Styles of Southern Chinese martial arts, most predominately the Hung Gar Kung Fu style, as well as the Force powers of the People's Acoyltes.
Use of the traditional Lightsaber is exchanged with the use of the People's Acolytes Light Gauche, in conjunction with a gun, in Qiangquan.
Due to the nature of the weapons they work with, Qiangquan masters recognize the risk of falling to the Dark Side may be somewhat greater; firearms do have that empowering feeling, after all. Therefore, great care is taken to emphasize values of Brotherhood and Loyalty to the Acolytes and New Dornalian civilians, and it is the only school to mandate strict punishments for failing to adhere to meditation regimens and spiritual exercises.
